Regular Season Round 1: Jugla - TalTech 100-37

There was no surprise when EstonianTalTech was outplayed by Latvian Jugla 100-37 on Saturday. The game without a history. Jugla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TalTech to just 3 points in first quarter. Jugla dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to TalTech 's 28. Jugla forced 31 TalTech turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Jugla looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by TalTech 's players. Valters Cernovs fired 12 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Janis Krjukovs chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Jugla players scored in double figures. Martin Roost produced 6 points and Andri Savi added 9 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
